Oregon has a unique collaborative environment between our community organizations, individuals, business owners, and entrepreneurs that allow for innovative ideas and growth to happen in our community.
We believe that economic development works best when various strengths are brought to bear on challenges, and we also believe that crowdfunding will improve and invigorate our current resource capabilities to develop a stronger, more sustainable business community.
All projects require the endorsement from a local organizational partner that will also help you build an effective campaign. Please read through the Campaign Guidelines, contact a campaign advisor listed in the Guidelines, then submit your idea to unlock this powerful tool for your project.
In order to encourage the greatest chance of success, the idea submission and the ensuing campaign creation requires meeting (phone, web, or in person) with a campaign advisor who will ensure that the best practices and guidelines are in place for your project and then will serve as your mentor, as needed, through the campaign process and beyond.
Before an idea is submitted please be ready to share the following with the campaign advisor:
Overall strategy to implement project and the end result
Business model – how your new business will make money or how an improvement for an existing business will improve the bottom line
How much money is needed and how it will be utilized – there is an initial limit of $15,000
